Bob Barr was interviewed by Dennis Miller on his syndicated radio show today. They discussed much about FISA and Barr’s role in the election. Interesting how Miller cuts Barr off at the end of the interview. It was an odd thing to do. Miller apparently believes that Obama and McCain will actually debate the substantive nature of issues like FISA, limited government, taxes, etc.. Miller cut Barr off for suggesting that his own candidacy will move the debate more towards the fundamentals rather than the usual political surface. The overall meat of the interview is pretty good though. The interview is about 14 minutes long (commercials stripped out).

I supposed the media appearances by Barr are difficult to nail down. According to Glenn Beck this morning the hour long interview with Bob Barr will air on Friday evening at 7pm on CNN Headline News. It was previously reported as occurring on Wednesday, then Thursday. I heard it straight from Beck’s mouth on his radio show this morning that it will be on tomorrow (Friday night).
UPDATE: From the Barr campaign: Barr will appear on Beck’s TV show tonight as a “lead”, but the hour long interview will air tomorrow night.
A previously reported media interview on Bloomberg TV was scheduled for tonight for Barr, but looking at the guide for the show it looks like he won’t be on tonight. I will try to get clarification from the Barr campaign to find out when he will be on “Night Talk” on Bloomberg channel and post an update. Maybe my guide is not accurate.

Ron Paul was interviewed on KTSA 550 (San Antonio) this morning. He promoted his book and discussed all the things he normally discusses. He did reference the recent McCain comment when McCain said he wanted to run against Ron Paul “because he is like a Democrat.”

This is an excellent interview with Ron Paul on NPR Radio’s “Talk Of The Nation” show. Ron Paul even used a little humor which is somewhat unlike his normal “serious talk” on the campaign trail
Listen the 34 minute interview at NPR.

Ron Paul is interviewed for about 18 minutes on Brian and the Judge on FOX News Radio. Judge Napolitano is the Judge and is obviously more supportive of Ron Paul than Brian. Great interview.

Ron Paul was on KDKA Pittsburgh again this morning following his longer and more in depth interview last night. The morning news program promoted his appearance by including him in their news reports at the top of each hour leading up to this interview.
The interview was short (about 7 minutes) and very general. The most interesting portion was when Ron Paul spoke of remembering the area where he grew up near Pittsburgh. This was great exposure during morning drive time.

Judging by some of the heroic worshiping rhetoric found here and other pro-Paul areas of the media world one would get the impression that Ron Paul is perfection personified. Unfortunately he has flaws. Most are of the perfectly imperfect variety. Indeed, flaws are a matter of perception.
In an interview on a Pittsburgh radio station last night the host implied that being honest with the American people is a doomed campaign strategy. I’m not sure if there is a sadder hard truth than that. It is almost as if many Americans beg to be manipulated by our politicians. It is the public discourse equivalent of a wife asking her husband, “Does this dress make me look fat?”. Meanwhile the wife is five foot four and weighs 210 pounds. If Ron Paul were to answer he’d say, “No, your large body makes you look fat. Your clothes are totally irrelevant.” It’s hard to win an election with honesty like that.

Ron Paul was interviewed for almost 30 minutes on KDKA Pittsburgh tonight. Many topics were covered: fiscal policy, foreign policy, taxes, staying in the race, global warming, and more. Very good interview. Following the interview the host (John Steigerwald) said “He makes a lot of sense.” Of course he does.

Here is the audio of an excellent interview with Ron Paul this morning on WOR New York Radio. He discusses taxes, government expansion, economics, and his new book. The interview is little over 13 minutes long (commercials removed).
