Lew Rockwell was on the radio with Ron Smith, a fixture on WBAL in Baltimore for many years. In a 14 minute interview they discussed numerous topics ranging from Ron Paul, libertarianism, and more.

I only take small issue with Rockwell’s disdain for the act of voting. He says that no election is ever decided by a single vote as he dismisses voting as a “waste of time”. I have to agree that in most cases this is true, but I can point to one case in my own district where a single vote did decide an election. Of course the smaller the election the more there is a chance of this happening.

In this case there were 888 votes cast. I posted about it when it occurred in the local election in November of 2007. Here is a screenshot of the results:

So, in some rare cases… well at least one case. A single vote does count.

But I digress… Listen to an excellent discussion between Lew Rockwell and Ron Smith below.

The answer is (of course) Judge Andrew Napolitano, the host of the weekly freedom-loving web show Freedom Watch. I always love when the Judge hosts his radio show solo. This week he is doing just that.

Brian and The Judge airs beginning at 9am EST and can be heard at http://www.foxnewsradio.com/ and on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio on channels 145(Sirius) and 168(XM).

Later today we’ll find out the Judge’s guests for Freedom Watch tomorrow, but this morning and every morning all week why not give the Judge a call to promote HR1207, discuss the Tea Party events being held this week, or any other liberty loving topic of note? You can do so at 1-866-408-7669.

Ron Paul was interviewed on Brian and The Judge on FOX Radio this morning. This interview is classic Dr. Paul. Very interesting topics were discussed. Ron Paul was able to describe why he doesn’t like talking about “trickle down or trickle up” economics, but instead wants the financial conversation to focus on freedom and individual liberty.

Brian Kilmeade suggests that if John McCain offered Ron Paul some type of deal that it was possible that McCain could have won the election. Dr. Paul thinks otherwise.

This is definitely worth a listen.

The interview lasts about 11 minutes. Listen below.

The man some call Ron Paul Jr. was a guest on Glenn Beck’s radio show this morning for a few minutes. I must say that when I hear Lawson speak I get those same freedom feelings dancing around in my belly that I got much of last year listening to Ron Paul during his primary campaign.

Lawson is able to get the word out about his website and win Glenn Beck and his audience over by letting everyone know he stands up for the Second Amendment and continues to hand out pocket Constitutions while campaigning. Lawson has David Price (his long time incumbent opponent) running scared. I am not the only liberty lover pulling for a Lawson victory on Tuesday. Listen to Lawson on Glenn Beck below.

It seems to be Bob Barr day today thanks in part to his several media appearances. Bob Barr went into the liberal mass of confusion known as Air America today when he was interviewed by Thom Hartmann. The majority of the interview was quite contentious as you might expect. In the end they run out of time in the middle (or end) of a discussion on the “general welfare” clause in the Constitution. Hartmann seems to think that it allows for policies such as nationalized health care while Barr tells Hartmann that he is misinterpreting it. The audio lasts about 15 minutes. Listen below.

Bob Barr spoke with Andrew Napolitano on the Brian and The Judge radio show this morning on FOX Radio. Of interest perhaps is that Barr readily admitted he’s not going to win the election and there are two other very important goals for his candidacy at this point. This is the first time he has actually said he wasn’t going to win. It is true though he’s always said it was unlikely. Listen to the 6+ minute interview audio below.

After watching the first two so-called main stream party debates it is quite refreshing to hear a candidate give very direct answers to the questions he is asked. Bob Barr did that during his 6 minutes on NPR yesterday. Instead of talking around the problem and answering direct questions with subterfuge like McCain, Palin, Obama, and Biden, Barr answers with precision. That must almost be enough for some people to vote for the guy even if they disagree with him.
