Ron Paul has destroyed my life. He woke me up from apathy and he consistantly reminds me not ALL politicians are self-centered ambitious pieces of dirt. If he wasn't around I could give up. But nooooooooo. Dr. Paul insists on keeping the torch of liberty alive and so I must continue to fight with him.

Who is happier, the brahman or the fool?

I though so too, Jim. There are always things we wish he could have said, but under the circumstances, I think he did a fine job, especially when Matthews pointed out that he is the only consistent person he knows. Brilliant.

Very good interview. Dr. Paul was quick, witty at times, and confident. Matthews was fairly respectful.

I think what Ron Paul should have said about the social security thing is that it harms the family that there is a social security out there letting families and children not have to care for their poor old parents, as well as religious groups, and communities. That was Robert Nisbet's argument in the "Quest for Community." He should have said about the guy who gets hurt and goes to the hospital that it was good for society to help but society cannot truly help if the government takes on the responsibility of help, help should come from individuals together in society working to help each other out of their free will. Also society's help of a person is much better than government in terms of efficient track record.
