Ron Paul appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe this morning for nice long segment. The hosts, for the most part, heaped praise on Paul for his CPAC straw poll victory, energizing young people, and his steadfast fidelity to the free market and limited government.

Easy there justncredible. I was going over this post & was thinking about RP's CPAC speech about what an old-style conservative was. I thought it was amusing that RP's push for a more traditional republican (vs. neo-conservative Republican) is beginning to resonate positively. It reminded me of how people like to revive music & fashion of older generations. I'm not a Republican, btw. However, RP is and he appears to be trying to push the party back to more vintage ideological roots.

What idealology?
What roots?
The founder of the republican party denied states right and started a civil war. He shreded the Constitution, putting 10,000 journalist in prisons if they disagreed with him, killing over half a million people. That is the roots of the republicans.
RP is not a traditional republican, at least none I have ever read about. He is a Libertarian, which is for smaller government, the repubs have always platformed on smaller government but never actually did anything about it. Rp is a shurewin for the next election, and no becks or limbows can stop it.
