As the primary date approaches, expect Grayson to start attacking Rand based on his libertarian stances. It's going to get ugly. Then expect Ron Paul's supporters to get angry and respond with more donations. The question is, will it be enough to allow Rand to reach enough true conservatives to win?

I had a disturbing dream that Rand Paul was kidnapped by the neocons, who promised him power if he would team up with Sarah Palin and speak in pro-war language. The reality is that he's still got the most honest Congressman in the whole country as a father, and that is very reassuring.

In reading Dick Armey's interview with CBS, I was apalled by his conrinuing total disregard for Congressman Paul. In response to a question about Ronald Reagan's statement that libertarianism is the "heart and soul of conservativism" with a reference to Ron Paul, Army gave the usual Limbaugh-esque talking points that essentially say that it's too dangerous and complicated of a world for us to be burdened with Constitutionally-limited government. And this while (if the quote is complete) not acknowledging Paul by name or giving him any credit at all. It made me sick to my stomach. The neoconservative Republican Party of today will never get a vote from me. Neither of the major parties are worth a damn, and both are on the way to ruining us!

tedbohne,

After I wake up, what do I do then? Get "active" by posting comments on message boards telling people to wake up without giving them any useful information about what to do once they open their eyes?

I'd rather do my very best to promote and encourage anyone within earshot (eyeshot?) to work within the system we have to work toward change. My reasoning is not that I believe I'll see major change within my lifetime, but I see it as the least worst option amongst a list of horrible ones.

Thanks for the comments,
Marc

Marc Gallagher

I remain staggered by the fact that despite the overwhelming data, factual, and evidiential is that this country's social control construct, local, state, and federal, is graveyard dead. It isn't a democracy by the loosest of definitions. I doesn't serve the people, we've endured two coups de 'etat in a decade, we are in the largest debt per capita perhaps in human history, and despite all this, people still go to this 'rotting corpse' for recourse and help. The system is DEAD. It cannot be resurrected, nor should it be. There's no writing your "representatives." There aren't any. What is the matter with you people. Are you so mentally challenged that you can even smell the odor of death in Washington. These people represent the rich, always have, always will. Good god man! wake up.
