I also like the example highlighting the cost saving benefits of shopping around. This was an educational article I really enjoyed, and I will be looking into HSA's for myself and my family. The advantage of not losing our health insurance if we change jobs is reason enough on its own. If the government really wanted to help the people all they really need to do is allow us to keep more of our own money. Humans typically make the best decisions for themselves, and learn from their mistakes. This would bring competition back in to the field of health care, and would drop prices. I wonder how long it would take for Dr's to start making house calls again? VERY good article!
