Senate Cosponsorship for Auditing the Fed Doubles

The Senate version, S.604, of Ron Paul’s audit the Federal Reserve Bill (HR.1207) has doubled in cosponsors. Sure it “only” had 3 before today, but now it has 6.

One of the new cosponsors is Sam Brownback (R-KS) who also ran for the GOP Presidential nomination last year along with Ron Paul.

HR.1207 is now up to 254 cosponsors. I wonder if they would bring it up for a vote if theĀ  entire House other than Pelosi and Barney Frank were to cosponsor it. Probably not.

I think this new support for S.604 is due to Jim DeMint starting the fight for it in the Senate the other day. Keep their phones ringing!

HR 1207 got five more co-sponsors too, I think.

I am from Georgia and I sent emails to Chambliss and Isakson yesterday asking them to co-sponsor S-604. I know it is only coincidence, but I sure do feel empowered today!

Well this is good to see. Maybe it can get some traction. I'm going to right my senators too.

The fact that they torpedoed it the other day maddens me. Complete hypocrisy if you ask me. But maybe since it was short enough to read quickly they didn't want to vote on it.

I just sent two more emails today to Specter and Casey about S 604–methinks it's a long-shot, but I'm certainly trying. I'm also going to call soon, and send out actual letters next.

I'm going old AND new school.
