Money is not what we need, but resources. A global resource-based economy WITHOUT MONEY is difficult to imagine, but possible. Think about it; money only brings us problems. The more money we think we need, the more trouble we find ourselves in. The Government doesn't loan money "like the rest of us". The Government gets it's money from the Federal Reserve, who in turn makes them out of thin air. The money is not backed in gold anymore. That ended in 1971. New money today is only backed by the peoples trust in the Government. New money today isn't really worth the paper they are written on, if they are written on paper at all. 97% of all money today is electronic.
But it is not money we really need, now is it. It is resources. And there's plenty of resources out there for whatever we need, as long as they are managed and developed well. A resource-based economy is a system where everyone gets what they need in abundance. Is this possible? With development of technology and updating of our values, yes.
