A couple days ago I published an open letter to my representative to support Ron Paul’s HR 1207 bill to audit the Federal Reserve after contacting him multiple times over the past two months.  I am thrilled to report that Congressman Charles Dent has now co-signed the bill! As I reported here “STATUS REPORT: Ron Paul’s Audit the FED Act, HR 1207“, additional co-signers for a bill does not move it any closer to a House floor vote, but it is one more additional vote that should be cast in its favor if the bill makes it to a vote.

Bloomberg’s Freedom of Information Act request was denied by the FED last year.  The FED declined to disclose how they used $2 trillion dollars in open market operations that they executed outside of Congressional authority. Congress has no clue how the FED used the money either since that is not how the FED works.

And Congress really does have no clue what is going on with our money.  On Tuesday, Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) interviewed Federal Reserve inspector general Elizabeth A. Coleman and inquired if she had examined the losses on the “$9 trillion dollars in off-balance transactions during the last 8 months” executed by the Federal Reserve.  Coleman appeared clueless and responded she was unaware of ANY of these transactions and would have to check with Bloomberg. I wrote my Representative the below note and also contacted his office by phone to thank him.  I spoke to the staff member answering the phone and left a message about HR 2755, Ron Paul’s bill to abolish the FED from 2007.  I was told my Congressman would reply to me via mail with his stance on the Federal Reserve since he was not available to take the call.

My searches of his website and googling his name plus the Federal Reserve have proven fruitless, so I look forward to finding out what his views are.

Congressman Dent is serving his third term in office but perhaps with a little luck, we will find we both agree to abolish the FED and institute an honest  and sound money system founded on Austrian economic principles!

Dear Congressman Dent -

Thank you for co-signing HR 1207, the bill to audit the Federal Reserve.  This is fantastic!

I would like to know your stance on the Federal Reserve. My idea is to abolish it, just as was proposed in HR 2755 from the last Congress

Of course, by “END the FED” I mean to abolish the Federal Reserve institution, not physically harm any of these central bankers! Photo1 Photo2 Photo3 Photo4 Photo5
