Drug use and abuse is tolerated as long as it's alcohol and tobacco. It's your body it's your right! You can drink til you need a new liver and smoke til you or a second hand smoker gets lung cancer. Either make all drugs legal or ban them all. You can't have it both ways. During one TV break there's a "Drug free America" commercial then later in the same broadcast there's a beer commercial! It's a War on certain Drugs! total BS.

100% agree Sam. The only people that benefit from prohibition are the big time drug cartels and gangs who use drug profits to purchase guns and other weapons that are used to terrorize our cities and neighborhoods right here on our own soil.

Bob Stutman is a very ignorant man and should not be part of the DEA. Who said anything about giving drugs to kids? The whole purpose of regulation is to keep the drugs out of our children's hands, just like with alcohol and tobacco. The only reason people sell drugs is to turn a massive profit and they sure as hell don't care if you are 13 or 55 as long as the money is handed over.
The whole gateway theory is another thing that is created by prohibition and used as ammo by prohibitionists. In most cases a drug dealer doesn't just sell one drug. If a 16 year old kids wants to get some cannabis he/she will go to a dealer who first of all won't check for id and is also likely to offer other drugs for sale and doesn't care if the kid becomes addicted to cocaine or heroin. In fact that is exactly what the dealer wants, these addictive drugs are exactly what will keep these kids coming back.
The combination of drug education and regulation are by far the best method of drug prevention and harm reduction. I'm not talking education like the d.a.r.e. program (which has been proven to be a complete failure) that introduces a child to drugs at a far to early age and uses fear tactics and lies to scare kids from doing drugs. I remember when the police officer used to tell us that marijuana would turn us into addicts who would make nothing of our lives, and even went as far as telling young boys that they would grow breasts and other horrible things. Than these kids try marijuana first because its the most accessible drug and find out that these things that officer Bill told us were complete b.s., which in turn makes them wonder about what else they were lied to about by this trusty officer of the law. They go on to try other more harmful, addicting drugs at a far to early age which are far to available to them thanks to good ol' prohibition.

All we hear from prohibitionists is that they are doing it for the kids. Way to go, keep up the good work.
War on Drugs, keeping criminals rich and our children on drugs since 1972.

I have some questions for prohibition supporters to think about.
What's easier to get for a 14 year old kid, a bag of weed of a bottle of whiskey? Why?
If legalizing drugs creates a gigantic increase in use, then why hasn't this happened in places like Amsterdam?
Why was Al Capone rich, armed and dangerous?
How is it possible that pot has become the number one cash crop in America?
Do addicts really deserve more jail time than rapists and robbers?
What is the "appropriate" sentence for a cancer patient who smokes pot to relieve his nausea?
Who is Peter McWilliams?
