I watched John Stossel’s latest wonderful 20/20 special on ABC last night. I can’t tell you how excited I get when I see libertarian views being expressed on a main stream media show like this.

These ideas should be commonplace, but over the years they’ve been usurped by statism–the belief that the government is the all-seeing, all-knowing, all-do-good god. But the devil is in the details and Stossel once again reveals the devil in statism

The show is in six parts.

  1. Economic crisis?
  2. Should roads be private?
  3. Should drugs be legal?
  4. Should the federal government (our tax dollars) pay for preschool for every child?
  5. Is combating illegal immigration doomed to fail?
  6. Is America still the land of opportunity?

Watch all six in the playlist embedded below. (Thanks go to youtube user wisted for uploading the videos)

John Stossel has a very informed take on whats going on, A coupla years ago he did a show on 20/20 I think about schools. It was an outstanding job of reporting on the school situation, Any chance that might be re-aired.? I write a lot about the horrors of the schools on my blog, octogenariansblog.com. Also several articles on Ron Paul. Thanks, Anne Cleveland

I came home from work and watched about half of it. Great stuff. I want to know what ABC's regular audience thought of it, and whether they agreed with any of it.

We're very lucky that Stossel has the pulpit he has.

Unbelieve, Pelosi, "500 million people will those their jobs". Interesting, Nancy. 160% of the US population will lose their jobs every month. Amazing
