Senate GOP Shuns Bailout, President Will “Act”

After the GOP Senators rejected the proposed bailout of the auto makers it seems that all fingers are now pointed squarely at George W. Bush as the only option left for the rescue operation.

“For God sakes, I hope the president acts,” Mayor Virg Bernero of Lansing, Mich., exclaimed Friday morning.

“Plan B is the president,” said Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said action by President George W. Bush was the “only viable option.”

It seems the Republican Senators received numerous phone calls opposed to the bailout and they are listening to their constituents, this time anyway. I find it morbidly humorous that when these same constituents inundated congressional offices with letters, phone calls, and emails in opposition to the original financial sector bailout plan they were ignored.

Now with the Republican Party trying to find its political footing again they start listening? Or perhaps it is just that the Republicans would rather bailout their wall street friends than the auto workers and their blue collar democratic supporting union?

Once again sand is being thrown in our faces. They don’t want us to see the big picture. Ron Paul attempted to show us the way with his speech on the House floor in opposition to the bailout, but not many are paying attention. Bailouts are unconstitutional. They are amoral.

We now live in some kind of morally corrupt twisted Robin Hood society where the government steals your wealth and the wealth of future generations in order to reward failure rather than requiring those that fail to learn from it. It seems that pretty soon we all will be learning from failure.

I believe George W. Bush is going to step in with TARP money for the auto makers. He’s painted himself into a corner. He will explain that there was no  other “viable option” echoing Nancy Pelosi’s words above. We then will move on to the next bailout… and the next… then Obama will step in to implement his view of change which will result in “continuing the Bush policies” of bailouts, rescues, big spending, and redistribution of wealth.

In my dictionary CHANGE is a four letter word that begins with F.

Amen!! I’m sick of this, I spend all my time contacting my representatives but to no avail! Is this now considered taxation without representation? Over 80% were against the original bailouts and they passed them anyway, which was under duress of martial law according to a few representatives. There has been a coup of our government and we don’t even see it!
