America is $10.6 trillion dollars in debt. So it's really "government charging". What sane person gets to be $100,000 in debt and decides that the way out is to start writing bad checks to needy friends for $8,500 then $610, and promising expensive gifts to still others? If this was your financial situation, wouldn't you start by telling your friends you can't afford gifts right now, immediately cut your spending to only absolute essentials, and try to earn as much new wealth as you could?
