Palin's nomination for the V-P slot on the Republican ticket and not be concerned that she will be compromised or become "the puppet" of McCain's neo-con team. Like a good lawyer she will make the best case possible for her principal's position, if she is called upon at all to defend his foreign and military policies. The point is, as long as McCain is defeated in this race, Gov. Palin will return to being her own woman. And, if she acquits herself well in this campaign, she can steer her own course forward without being tied to McCain or the neo-con agenda. The choice will be hers. I would recommend inviting her to speak this fall on behalf of Ron Paul candidates running for Congress (maybe even Paul's own district!) and encourage her in our direction. Maybe she will prove herself capable and choose to be the successor to Ron Paul as leader of the liberty movement. Maybe this is not what Bill Kristol intends, but God does work in mysterious ways that confound the designs of men. Can she be enlisted to speak at the Campaign for Liberty Rally in Minneapolis this week? If the GOP chooses to put their convention on a low burner due to the impending hurricane in the Gulf, Ron Paul's rally may fill the vacuum the media who have come to St. Paul this week will desperately seek to fill.
