The old adage goes, “Behind every great man is a great woman.” While this is self evidently true for Ron Paul and his wife Carol, he also had a great man behind him. That man was Kent Snyder.

I say ‘was’ because Kent Snyder recently passed away from complications from pneumonia. He was 49 years old. Kent has been given credit for kick starting the Ron Paul for President campaign when it was barely a fleeting notion in Ron Paul’s own mind. Without Kent Snyder there likely would have been no Ron Paul Revolution. It is to him every single Ron Paul supporter owes a debt of gratitude.

Due to a pre-exising condition Snyder did not have medical insurance. His illness has racked up a total of $400K in health care costs.
