To be fair to the media, Paul really never had a chance. I fought hard and donated a lot of money, but I knew he couldn't really be president. His positions on issues are great, but he struggled with the media interviews, said weird stuff at debates, and frankly he just didn't look like a president. It's like Kucinich in a way; no matter what he said, he was the eccentric guy and he had no hope. Barr, on the other hand, does great and seems totally comfortable in these interviews and I have no doubt he could mop the floor with those other two if he gets into the debates.

If you want to consider a conspiracy though, maybe the pro-Obama media just wants to puff up Barr so he can steal votes from McCain...

Interesting, Stephanopoulis essentially asked the same question he asked Ron Paul last year, albeit in a much nicer way.

George Stephanopoulis: How do you define success in this campaign?
Ron Paul: Well, to win..
GS: That's not going to happen.

GS: I know you want to win, short of winning, define success.
Bob Barr: Success will come from opening up the electoral system here so that no longer, after this cycle, will Americans feel themselves bound to the artificial constraints of a two party system.

Good answer Bob. You almost have to wonder if the media is kinder to Barr because they don't have to worry about him taking primary votes away from establishment candidates, and they don't think anyone has anything to worry about from a third party.
