The buzz is going around about what will Ron Paul announce tonight during his speech. All indications are that he will officially end his Presidential campaign and announce a new grassroots effort dubbed the “Campaign For Liberty”.
Indeed, there is even a web site dedicated to this new effort already set up. Check out the CampaignForLiberty.com site here. There is a form on the site requesting memberships with a goal (money bomb style) set at 100,000 members by September 2nd.
Ron Paul does indeed seem to be ending his campaign with this new effort. The website text shows a letter from Ron Paul reading in part:
With the primary season now over, the presidential campaign is at an end. But the larger campaign for freedom is just getting started. Therefore, I am happy to announce the official launch of the Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty.
While it comes as rather bittersweet news, at least there is a new effort for Ron Paul supporters to direct their grassroots energy.
The speech tonight will be broadcast online beginning at 9pm CDT at http://justin.tv/ronpaul2008.
In the meantime, go to the new site: CampaignForLiberty.com and register as a member.
