Who is Ron Paul’s favorite founding father?

In an interview during Ron Paul’s campaign last year with Mike Church Ron Paul was asked “who is your favorite founding father?” Ron Paul thought for a bit and answered “Adams”. This surprised me because my immediate thought would have been Jefferson since Adams was part of the Federalist Party, which wanted a strong “national” government.
In any case, Paul’s favorite founding father is now the subject of a new movie mini-series to be shown on HBO beginning on March 16th with the first 2 parts of 7 being shown. It is based on the Pulitzer Prize winning book “John Adams” by David McCullough. Tom Hanks has his hands involved in this creation as well. His previous HBO efforts included the stellar “From The Earth To The Moon” and “Band Of Brothers”.
This qualifies “John Adams” as a must see for any history buff who also believes in the principles of human liberty.
For more information on the series check out the HBO page. It includes a behind the scenes video as well as the trailer. Apparently, no cost was spared in the efforts to make the movie as realistic as possible.
