Nancy Pelosi: Master of Economics?

Bush is going to speak about an economic stimulus package today. Nancy Pelosi wants it voted on within a month. Showing her economic prowess comes this quote from her:

“spend the money, invest the resources, give the tax relief in a way that again injects demand into the economy, puts it in the hands of those who need it most and into the middle class … so that we can create jobs.

So giving a segment of consumers a rebate check of a few hundred bucks will “create jobs.” Uh-huh.

The economy is going in the tank and there’s nothing the government can do about it. Of course, it’s always politically proper to remain optimistic as we “rearrange the deck chairs on the titanic.”

The economy keeps begging for Ron Paul. I wish voters would listen.
