Realistic yet bold predictions for Iowa GOP Caucus

With the date of the Iowa Caucuses less than 3 weeks away…
From my completely unprofessional perspective, if the Iowa caucuses were held today here is my predicted order of finish along with the reasons why.
- Mike Huckabee – Iowa loves him. He came in 2nd in the Ames Straw Poll. Romney paid his supporters in the form of free transportation to the straw poll, so in my opinion HuckaBill won that thing.
- Mitt Romney – Yeah, he’s waging war with the amount of money he’s spending and lending himself. He’s run the most TV ads and radio ads of any candidate. If he doesn’t get first he’ll get 2nd.
- Ron Paul – His supporters will show that the polls are wrong, but not that wrong. A 3rd place showing in Iowa should help legitimize his campaign for the primaries.
- Rudy Giuliani – Front runner no more. It would not surprise me if McCain ends up in this spot. It would surprise me if Thompson does. Rudy has given up on Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and now in Florida he’s trailing in the polls.
- John McCain – Joe Lieberman endorsed him, so did the Des Moines Register. So what. He’ll finish 4th or 5th. Losing to Ron Paul will irk him, but there’s nothing he can or will do about it.
- Fred Thompson – Time to wake up Fred, wake up and drop out of the race. He gets the award for “if you get treated like a child, act like a child”. In the Des Moines Register debate he put his foot down and refused to answer a question on global warming and its causes, by not raising his hand. Apparently, Fred is a little cranky when he wakes up.
- Tom Tancredo – The anti-illegal immigrant people in Iowa will pull him in over Duncan Hunter.
- Duncan Hunter – After this finish, Hunter will have to hop over his double fence on his way back to San Diego.
- Alan Keyes – Only putting him here to fill up space and take time away from the other candidates. Kind of like he did in the Des Moines Register debate.
- John Cox – I remember him from the Ames Straw Poll. Sadly for him, that’s the last I heard from him.
