It’s Not A Joke, It’s Freedom

When introducing Ron Paul for his speech at the Iowa Straw Poll this weekend Laura Ingraham made an attempt at humor to describe the vocal Ron Paul supporters cheering him as they marched to their seats. She said, “The inmates have left the asylum.”
This is just the latest example of several main stream media types who have attempted to minimize and ridicule Ron Paul and his supporters. Why do they do this?
Is it because they are afraid? Is it intentional? I don’t think so. I think they are just afraid of something different. They are stuck in the teenager mentality of ridiculing anything that they deem as being uncool. It’s an unrelenting wave of neo-con peer pressure. Personally, I think Ron Paul is as cool as the other side of the pillow.
I wish there was a way Ron Paul could get elected by saying everything the “cool” people wanted to hear, but then once elected unveil his real plan. Oh wait, we already have a President who has done that. Then again, maybe it is time for another.
