Tucker is a bit harder on Ron Paul in this interview than in the past. But the fact that he’s had him on the most of any TV Talk Show tells us he must want his voice to be heard.
If Congress approves President Bush’s pending request for another $147 billion for the budget year starting Oct. 1, the total bill for the war on terror since Sept. 11 would reach more than three-fourths of a trillion dollars, with appropriations for Iraq reaching $567 billion.
So that’s an estimated $750 billion for the war on terror, if/when Congress approves the request. But let’s look at just Iraq for a minute.
Following the presidential election in 2000 there was talk, mostly among democrats, to get rid of the Electoral College. This is another example of not looking at an issue closely enough. Sure, Al Gore won the popular vote, but does that mean he should have been president? Let’s see…
Take some time and go through some of them. I first saw this blog referenced on LewRockwell.Com which is a must read blog for Ron Paul supporters as well. Of course, you are probably already reading that blog religiously if you are reading this little blog of mine.
Joe and co. first discuss the unprofessionalism displayed by Stephanopolous’ comment in the interview on “This Week” yesterday and then interview Ron Paul via phone. Very positive good segment.
In the United States today there’s a culture of “groupism”. It gets perpetuated by the apathy of the general US voter. This “groupism” is evidence of some policy or set of policies that ended somewhere far from where they began.
As usual, by the time the unintended consequences of a policy are revealed, there is little incentive to reverse the policy. That reason is most likely due to there being a certain group here or there that benefit from the policy to the point of fighting to keep it tooth and nail.
It usually takes overwhelming support of the groups that do not benefit from the policy to reverse it. The unaffected groups will remain indifferent. So, in most cases the politicians keep the bad for individuals, but good for the group policy in place.
The “groupism” culture in the US today keeps pushing us closer and closer to socialism. Where did this push toward socialism in America begin?
This was a pretty good interview except for the end of it when the smugness of Stephanopolous appeared. You’ll know what I mean when you watch it. Enjoy.
At the risk of websites popping up all over the web touting the legend of Ron Paul as has happened with the incomparable Chuck Norris. Here are 13 things you probably don’t know, but should know, about Dr. Ron Paul. The difference here though is that these things are actually true.
